Collection of your personal information

There are aspects of the site which can be viewed without providing personal information, however, for booking a job with TradeCall 24/7 you are required to submit personally identifiable information. This may include but not limited to a unique username and password, or provide sensitive information in the recovery of your lost password.

We will only collect personal information from you that we reasonably require for one or more of our business functions or activities, and will do so by lawful and fair means.

The kinds of personal information we may collect from you will depend on what type of interaction you have with us.   It may include:

  • Personal information that you provide to us when you book a job, participate in a competition, promotional activity, survey, interact or follow in our social media pages like Facebook. This information may include, for example, your name, address, email address, telephone numbers, date of birth and any questions related to the job.
  • Personal information may also include IP address and credit card details
  • If you are a contractor with TradeCall 24/7, then further details will be collected as outlined in our ‘Contractor’s Applications”

All collection of data will be in accordance with relevant Australian Laws.  We will not collect sensitive information about you (such as information about your racial or ethnic origins or political or religious beliefs).

For each visitor to reach the site, we expressively collect the following non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to browser type, version and language, operating system, pages viewed while browsing our site, page access times and referring website address.  This collected information is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, trends and delivering personalised content to you while you are at this site.

Where your personal information is stored

Where we store your personal information depends on what interaction you have had with us.  However, some areas may include:

  • Databases for lodging a job, contact records between TradeCall and Contractors and the Client, recording what work has been done and if any further work is required. How much the job cost including materials used.  Enquires or feedback; or
  • Email or SMS databases for contact between TradeCall, the Contractor, the Client and Real Estate Agent and or Landlord.

How your personal information is stored?

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss or unauthorised access.  Unfortunately, no date transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed as totally secure.  Accordingly, although we strive to protect such information, we do not arrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online service, and you use these at your own risk.

If a substantial breach has or may have occurred (for example, your personal information was shared with unauthorised persons) we will notify you as soon as is practicable and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner about that actual or possible breach.

If we no longer need to retain your personal information, we will take the appropriate measures to destroy or permanently de-identity your personal information.

  • Engaging a third party contractor to perform services for us
  • Keeping you informed of the process via sms, email or phone
  • Responding to your enquiry or feedback
  • Conducting, and allowing you to participate in, a promotion, competition, promotional activity, survey or market research.
  • Promoting and marketing our current and future products and services to you, informing you of upcoming events and special promotions and offers and analysing our products and services so as to improve and develop our services.
  • Improving the operation or navigation of our website and App.

We may disclose personal information we collect from you to our contractors or related companies for the sole purpose of fulfilling the job request as set out in “How will your personal information be used”.

We also use your IP address to help diagnose any problems with our server and administer our website.  Your IP address us used to help identify you and to gather broad demographic information about you.
